Brett won’t be home until Friday evening but he needs me to watch Xerxes tomorrow night. Xerxes is like my own child so of course I can’t say no. I just wish I could have someone there with me to ease my nerves because even with a ton of guns and a giant dog, I get spooked easily at night.

Time to toughen up and play mommy.
